The recommendation on this site gives one combination of services for one situation: a package, the add-ons that situation makes necessary, the licence work where a licence is needed, the cost of starting and the cost per year. It is made from about twelve questions with fixed answers. A description in your own words answers some of those questions in advance; it is never a second way of deciding.
This is an indicative composition of services and a price range from our public price list. It is not a legal assessment.
One questionnaire, two ways in
On the home page you can describe what you need in your own words, or go straight to the questions of the Business Navigator. Both lead to the same questionnaire and to the same result:
- With a description. The text is read for the facts it states — where you live, whether you want a ready-made company or a new one, whether you need a VAT number, what the company will do, whether the business needs a licence. Each fact that was found is shown under “This is how I understood you”, and each line can be changed with one click. Only the questions the text did not answer are asked.
- Without a description. All the questions are asked, one at a time.
When a text can be read in two ways, the question is asked rather than guessed. A wrong recommendation is worse than one more question.
What is asked, and why
- The country where you live. It decides how the documents are signed: in person at a notary in Tallinn, or in your own country by a notarised power of attorney, which may need an apostille.
- A new company or a ready-made one, and who owns it. A company with several owners, or with another company as an owner, needs other documents than a company with one owner.
- What the company does and where its customers are. The activity and the market decide whether a licence or a registration is needed, and which one. A country of residence and a market are two different facts; one of them is not enough.
- VAT number, customs, employees, accounting. These decide the add-ons and the yearly cost.
- When everything should be ready. The result states how long each part usually takes.
A business that needs a licence gets a few more questions — for example which crypto-asset services it will provide, or whether it will issue electronic money — so that the right application is named.
What the result contains
- The package with its price.
- Required add-ons and strongly recommended add-ons, listed apart. Each names the provision of the law it rests on, or says plainly that it is a step of our own procedure. The same list, with links to the official texts, is in required and recommended documents for licence applications.
- The total of the fixed prices, and what is charged per year. A price that begins with “from” is the fee for the standard scope and is called a minimum.
- How long it takes, for each service of the combination.
- One order button. It carries the whole combination to the order as confirmed lines. Nothing is chosen a second time; add-ons can still be removed or added there.
Your details
Before the result is shown, your name, your email address and the country where you live are asked once, together with your consent. The same recommendation is then sent to your email address. A phone number is asked only in a second step, and only when you ask for a written offer, a PDF or the reservation of a company. Details needed for the order itself — for example identity documents — are asked in the order form, not here. See the privacy policy.
Limits
- The recommendation covers the services of our price list: Estonian companies and their services, licence applications in Estonia and the European Union, and the Canadian MSB registration.
- For some countries of residence or markets no automatic price is given; such a request is looked at separately and answered by email.
- Whether a licence is granted is decided by the competent authority alone.
- The recommendation is general information about our services. It is not legal or tax advice.
