"How much does it cost to set up a company in Estonia?" is usually the first question people ask, and the honest answer has three parts: the price of the formation service, the optional extras you may need, and the costs that are not a service fee at all. This guide goes through each part, with our current prices taken directly from our price list, so you can see what you would actually pay before you order.
The formation package: two prices, one content
Our new company formation package forms an Estonian private limited company (OÜ) with one founder who is a private individual. It exists in two versions. The content is the same; what differs is how the documents are signed:
- Formation in person at a notary office in Tallinn: . You come to Tallinn and sign the incorporation documents yourself.
- Remote formation by notarised power of attorney: . You do not travel to Estonia; the company is formed on your behalf with a notarised power of attorney.
The remote version costs more because it involves more preparation: the power of attorney has to be drafted, certified and checked before it can be used.
What the package price already covers
Both versions include the formation of the OÜ, the preparation of the incorporation documents, a registered address in Estonia for 12 months, a licensed contact person service for 12 months, legal and administrative assistance with the incorporation, and the documents in PDF. The address and the contact person matter for the cost: every Estonian company needs an address in Estonia, and a company whose management board is abroad needs a contact person in Estonia. With our package you do not pay for either of these separately during the first year.
A package includes exactly what is listed on the company formation page. Anything not listed there is not part of the package price.
Add-ons: pay only for what your business needs
Most companies do not need every extra. These are the add-ons that affect the total most often:
- Each additional founder or shareholder (private individual): .
- Registration as a VAT payer (VAT number): . The VAT number is not included in the formation package; the decision to register a company for VAT is made by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.
- EORI number for trading with countries outside the EU: .
- LEI code, often required for investment and banking relationships: .
- Assistance opening a Revolut Business / Wise account: .

Costs that are not a service fee
Some money you spend when founding a company does not go to a service provider:
- Share capital. The share capital belongs to the company. It is not a fee. The founders agree on its amount and on how it is contributed, and we explain the current requirements by email before the documents are prepared.
- Official costs. Official costs that the package does not list, such as state fees, are not part of the package price. We confirm by email which of them apply to your case before any documents are prepared, so there are no surprises later.
- Your own notary abroad. If you choose the remote route and have the power of attorney certified by a notary outside Estonia, that notary's fee is set by them.
After the first year
The registered address and contact person are included for 12 months. After that they can be extended for . An active company also has recurring costs such as accounting () and the annual report (). How to see your exact total
The order form calculates the total as you choose the package version and the add-ons. Items with a "from" price are not added to the total: we send you a quote for them by email instead. Fixed-price orders are paid by card through Revolut. The formation package is for private individuals; if a company will be a shareholder, choose "Legal entity" in the form and we reply with an individual quote.
