A registry extract is the official summary of an Estonian company in the commercial register: its business name, registry code, address, share capital, management board, and the persons entitled to represent it. Banks, notaries, authorities and business partners abroad often ask for it — usually in English, certified by a notary and apostilled. This guide explains the forms, when each is needed and what they cost.
The guide is general information, not legal advice.
What a registry extract shows
- the business name, registry code and legal form (for example a private limited company, OÜ);
- the registered address and, where one is required, the contact person;
- the share capital;
- the members of the management board and how the company is represented;
- the date of registration and the latest entries.
An extract shows the register data on the day it is issued. Most foreign banks and authorities accept an extract only if it is recent — often not older than three to six months.
Which form you need
- In English, notarised — for a partner or a bank in a country that accepts a notarised document without an apostille: €200.
- Notarised and apostilled — for an authority that accepts the Estonian-language document with an apostille: €350.
- In English, notarised and apostilled — the form most foreign banks and authorities ask for: €550.
- Delivery of the paper extract by courier: €100.
These are the full prices. No package, preparation or handling fee is added to them anywhere — not with a ready-made company, not with a new company, not on their own.
Apostille: when it is needed
An apostille under the 1961 Hague Convention confirms the signature and seal of the Estonian notary, so that the document is accepted in another member country of the Convention. Countries outside the Convention may require legalisation instead. Ask the receiving bank or authority which form it accepts before ordering. See also apostille and sworn translation.

Frequently asked questions
Which registry extract do I need?
Ask the bank or authority that will receive it. Most foreign banks and authorities ask for the extract in English, notarised and apostilled. Some accept a notarised English extract without an apostille, and some an apostilled extract in Estonian.
Is anything added to the price of a registry extract?
No. The prices of the registry extracts are the full prices — no package, preparation or handling fee is added, whether you order the extract on its own or with a ready-made or new company. Delivery of the paper original is a separate line that you choose only if you need it.
How is the registry extract delivered?
You receive a scan by email. If you need the paper original, choose delivery and we send it by courier to your address.
